ABOUT ME:

Hello there! My name is Sydney and I am 21 years old. I have been dog sitting for almost 6 years now. I’ve been working with animals all my life. My family had a hobby farm and I have experience with livestock, dogs, cats, and other small animals. My first job was at a dog boarding shelter when I was 14. I feel that experience gave me exposure to many personalities and needs of all our canine friends. I was required to do the basic things such as feeding, grooming, playing with, and walking the dogs.

Currently I have one dog and one cat in my household, although we have had as many as three dogs and two cats. I am very well acquainted with senior dogs as well as puppies and their needs. I have bottle fed kittens and administered medications to senior pets by injection, pill, or drops.

I work in Bend 5-8 hours. It’s a part-time relief position.

Prior to watching your pet I like to have an introductory meeting so I can meet the pets and learn about their likes, dislikes, and needs. My preferred pet sitting arrangement is to stay in the clients home overnight and during the day as well. It comforts the animals more when they’re in their safe space while their parents are away. I find that this makes your pet feel more at ease with someone new and can find comfort while someone stays with them. Of course, we will go on walks and have playtime with their loved toys.

I like to send photos every day of the pets to their owners to assure that I’m taking great care and loving your pet just as much as you do. Sending photos can assure the owners their pets are with someone who is trustworthy and reliable.
